New Name and New Features Coming to Sitecore
Users began to hear about SitecoreAI and notice the name and icon changes in the system. I wrote a blog post to share what our campus users could expect to see in the coming months as a result of Sitecore's announcement. We want to create supportive resources for any new features before promoting them to campus users so that they have a good experience using the tools and are not frustrated due to a lack of understanding on how best to use the features.

SitecoreAI Promotion and SUG Planning Session
I began planning for promotion of SitecoreAI's new features to our campus users, along with the creation of an on-campus Sitecore User Group. We brainstormed content for meetings and workshops, as well as planned for our promotions in the upcoming year. The planning session brought together staff from our leadership, technical and marketing teams, as well as our agency partners.
Sitecore XM CloudSitecore XP Migration Completion
To emphasize the vastness of the work involved in implementing Sitecore XM Cloud, Content Hub DAM and Content Hub MRM/CMP, while also migrating existing sites from Sitecore XP, I wrote a "migration by the numbers" blog post recapping 19 months of work. This post was also shared with leadership and allowed us to bring attention to our Sitecore users who were heavily involved in making this project a success.
Sitecore XP Sitecore Content Hub Sitecore XM CloudSitecore Migration Reflections
I was happy to share the completion of our XP to XM Cloud migration project with my network, receiving engagement with unit users and Gartner analysts, among others. Any time you can share that your team built out the largest number of Sitecore XM Cloud-hosted websites worldwide is a good day!
Sitecore Content Hub Sitecore XM CloudSitecore Publishing Tips
After several units expressed issues with publishing slowness in Sitecore XM Cloud, I wrote a "Sitecore Publishing Tips" quick guide to assist users in following best practices. With hundreds of users across over a hundred websites, having just a few users publish incorrectly could dramatically slow down publishing and clog our queues. This blog post has helped reduce some of that while our technologists have worked with RDA and Sitecore to improve publishing via technical solutions.
Sitecore XM CloudSitecore Migration Project Status Update - Migration Process
As MSU's Sitecore XP to XM Cloud migration gained speed, we knew we needed to effectively communicate expectations to site owners and unit leaders to ensure efficient, fast site launches ahead of our platform migration deadlines. This blog post, also sent as an email, communicated what site users were expected to do as in their role during the migration and website launch process.

I created XM Cloud documentation on the DXStudio.msu.edu website for Michigan State University staff. This section of content includes a user guide (how to generally use the system), a component guide (instructions for use of specific components), demo pages (live views of all components), and training information. All documentation is provided in the context of MSU's brand standards, web standards, and digital experience guidelines. The website was launched in August 2024. The Sitecore document...
Sitecore XM CloudNamed UCAM Web Accessibility Program Leader
I lead the University Communications and Marketing (UCAM) web accessibility program in collaboration with my colleague and accessibility champion, Bobbie Roberts. I am tasked with identifying how to incorporate UCAM accessibility efforts and improvements into the broader university digital experience program. This includes teaching campus Sitecore users how to use the tools to create an accessible website. I add communications and marketing context to accessibility issues within our Sitecore doc...

Sitecore Content HubSitecore Information Sessions
I held nineteen unit-specific Sitecore Information Sessions throughout 2025. During these sessions, I explained the benefits of Sitecore, how units can get access, what supportive resources are available to units, and a general overview of a website migration initiative. Sixteen of these sessions led to active projects. Three are under consideration for 2026.

One of the common complaints I heard about folks new to headless CMS is that it's too complicated and takes too long to built out a webpage. After talking to them about their process I realized that these folks tend to work a page top down. They add a hero, then a headline, then text... This approach in Sitecore XP means you're hopping back and forth between Content Editor and Experience Editor. This can slow down the process of building a page dramatically. I wrote this blog post on my personal...
Sitecore XPUCDA 2024 Breakout Session: Navigating the Jungle of AI
I spoke at the University and College Designers Association 2024 conference on the topic of AI. My portion of the presentation covered governance, adoption, promotion and how we use AI to create content that is then shared to our websites built in Sitecore XP. I specifically talked about the use of AI to generate content for the glossary section of our Digital Experience Studio website (https://dxstudio.msu.edu/experience-program/glossary)
Sitecore XPDigital Experience Studio website
The MSU Digital Experience Studio website was designed to provide training and reference materials to campus users to encourage adoption and facilitate the use of various enterprise technologies, including Sitecore XP and Sitecore XM Cloud. Our goal is to enable communications and marketing staff to use enterprise technology to make their work more efficient and more effective while adhering to brand standards and creating a quality, impactful digital experience for our audiences. Sitecore XP Sitecore XM CloudSitecore Migration Project Status Update
The migration from Sitecore XP to Sitecore XM Cloud was an enormous effort. Our university communications and marketing teams are decentralized, so many many were not aware of the extent of work required to complete this project. We found blog articles, also sent as emails, to be an effective means of keeping users and leadership up-to-date on project progress.
