Learn what it takes to become a MVP

Become an MVP

Each year, professionals from all over the world are recognized by Sitecore as Most Valuable Professionals (MVP). A Sitecore MVP is an individual with expertise in Sitecore who actively participates in online and offline communities to share their knowledge and expertise with other Sitecore partners and customers.

Can I become an MVP?

The MVP Program is open for all individuals who work with the Sitecore platform. The key to become an MVP is to share your expertise through online and offline channels.

What kind of Community contribution is needed?

We are looking for contributions in the following areas:

  • Content includes: Blogs, Videos, Podcasts, White papers, Case studies, Open source modules, but even long format Questions and Answers on StackExchange
  • Engagement includes: Social media, Community forum, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, Telegram, StackExchange, Reddit, etc.
  • Public Speaking includes: Sitecore User Groups, SUGCON, Symposium, corporate events (DX, Experience Day, etc.), industry conferences, webinars
  • Feedback and References includes: Support tickets, Product feedback through MVP channels or to PMs directly, beta testing products and trainings, customer references, Customer Success Manager recommendations, Partner Advisory Council, Customer Leadership Board or Customer Advisory Board participation

A balanced application has contributions in all of these areas.

Where to start?

Do you have any tips for a successful application?

  • Please select your TOP 30 contributions, but no less than 5!
  • DO NOT list all your social media posts one by one! Add your social media profiles in the personal section and we will review them.
  • For each entry, please make sure we can validate your contribution (e.g. provide a link).
  • Where applicable, please select one or more Sitecore products related to your contribution.
  • Only include a bug report if it is a confirmed BUG or a Feature request or a Missing Documentation.
  • Please remember that we are looking for quality and not quantity.

How do I fill in my application?

Once you created an account (Sitecore ID), you can start filling in the MVP application form on the MVP website: https://mvp.sitecore.com/application

Make sure you fill in the form as complete and detailed as possible. All information will be used to review your nomination.

Which MVP category shall I choose?

Categories represent the way in which an individual is contributing to the community.

If you are on the business side, potentially an executive at a Sitecore partner or customer, and supporting the Sitecore ecosystem through evangelism and raising awareness, please select the Ambassador category.

If you are using Sitecore as part of the marketing or strategy team and you are supporting your customers by showing how to achieve more with Sitecore products, please select the Strategy category.

If you are part of an implementation team (including development, architecture, DevOps, etc.) and your contributions help other technical teams with building on Sitecore products, please select the Technology category.

If you are in doubt, you can review the available categories.

What is the timeline of the selection process?

The application has to be submitted before the end of November. We will review all the nominations and recommendations during December and we will finalize the award winners early January. The announcement of the Sitecore MVP Awards will be by the end of January.

What if I have additional questions?

If you have any additional questions about the MVP Program or nominations please create a topic on the Sitecore Community Portal or ask a question on Sitecore StackExchange.
